On 27th of February 1931, at the young age of 24 years, this is the spot where freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad, lost his life in a gun fight against the British. Originally known as Alfred Park, this open space in the city of Prayagraj is now known as Chandra Shekhar Azad Park in memory of the martyr.
