The Wilderness Orchard botanical garden in Uttarakhand has splashes of colour as an entire hillside is painted with the blooms of dahlia, Yucca aloifolia, Cosmos and a lovely yellow flower that grows on a tall flowering stalk. Can anyone help us identify this species? Single Dahlias growing at a garden in Landour, Uttarakhand, India. Dahlia is a genus of bushy, tuberous, herbaceous perennial plants native mainly in Mexico, but also Central America, and Colombia. A member of the Asteraceae (or Compositae), dicotyledonous plants, related species include the sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum and zinnia.
