Satish Gujral says "This book is brought out by the Lalit Kala Akademi to mark my 75th birthday. In fact, my birthday fell back in December the book was planned for it but for some reason and difficulty, they could make it ready on time. The academy has agreed to not only publish the book but the book is a reflection of 50 years of my work. But they have also agreed to sell it for no profit or loss basis." Over the last six decades, Indian art and architecture have been greatly benefited, thanks to the fickle-minded nature of Satish Gujral. Because of his ability to get bored of things easily, he kept changing his profession but perfected each one of them.
