The main promenade of Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi, India, showcases the redeveloped pedestrian-friendly boulevard that has become one of the capital's busiest heritage streets. The view is anchored by the golden domes and white marble pavilions of Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib, while the Red Fort (Lal Qila) rises in the distance at the end of the avenue. On the right stands the distinctive red shikhara of Sri Digambar Jain Lal Mandir, Delhi's oldest Jain temple. Cycle rickshaws carry passengers along the broad red-paved walkway as shoppers and visitors move between rows of traditional market stalls selling textiles, clothing, and household goods.
