Berlin family and pedestrians outside the Theater am Potsdamer Platz, a musical theater in Berlin district of Tiergarten. The theater building by the architect Renzo Piano at Marlene-Dietrich-Platz was completed on 2 October 1998 and opened on 5 June 1999 as musical theater. With around 1,800 seats, the theater is one of the largest theaters in Germany. By the end of June 2002 was with The Hunchback of Notre Dame , a musical , which premiered here. It was the first time that a Disney -Musical either on Broadway or in London's West End was first performed, but in Berlin.
