Pedestrians near Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi are provided with free meals during the occasion of Navratri before the last day of Durga Puja. Pedestrians and homeless people living outside the hospital are seen savouring the homemade dal, puri sabzi, bananas. This is called Bhandara and free food is served to anyone who wants to partake from the food prepared for the gods during the religious ritual of the Hindus.
