Nice bucolic sounds coupled with the sound of cow bells as the cows rush out and about... This video shows the amusing rustic setting of the outskirts of Nagpur city. Hundreds of cows are freed from the shelters called 'Goshalas'. They can be seen running anywhere they can get to, getting inside rooms and on the street. Some were even caught in the act - on camera and out in the crowds, on the street! The cattle population is a whopping 25,214 or better than 1 for every 100 citizens. The state government conducts livestock census every five years throughout the State to help formulate livestock policies. Accordingly, the animal husbandry department conducted the census in the city from August to November 2012. 6,904 cows are of country-breed while remaining 6,933 are imported or cross-bred
