Bumthang is a small town and is one of the renowned towns in the country. Most of the people from Bumthang are independent and altogether very co-operative. If you get to know that he or she is from Bumthang, then by default you get to have good vibes because of the way they are and how they treated people. Shopping in Bumthang would save more you more money as the goods are cheaper as compared to Thimphu, Paro, Phunstoling, Gelephu etc... The comparison in prices between the districts should be more than 25%. Bumthang is 290 kms from Thimphu and owing to the distance, there are fewer tourists.
