A congested market street in Old Delhi is filled with pedestrians, motorcycles and scooters moving through a narrow commercial lane. A sign for Kapoor Jewellers of Lahore advertising 22-carat gold is visible above one of the shops. Inside a nearby jewelry shop, customers browse displays of necklaces, earrings and bangles while shop workers attend to them. Dense overhead electrical wires and closely packed multi-story buildings line the street.
