The International Cricket Council's World Cup is one of the greatest portal events that brings together the best cricketers from around the world. As a prelude to this wonderful spectacle, ICC showcased 2003 World Cup Trophy. The trophy was unveiled by Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan. In 2003 the ICC cricket world cup in Africa and 14 nations will compete. Crafted in silver and gold the 60 cm high trophy weighs more than 11 kilos. Designed in platonic dimensions the trophy has a golden globe held aloft by three silver columns. The columns ensure the trophies uniqueness which can be instantly recognised no matter from which angle it is viewed. The 2003 Cricket World Cup was the eighth Cricket World Cup, organized by the International Cricket Council. It was co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe
