In association with internationally acclaimed fashion designer Atsu Sekhose, the Nagaland Women development department showcased Naga textile art and design at a fashion show on the first day of Hornbill Festival, Saturday at Bamboo Hall, Kisama. Held under the theme 'Celebrating Naga textile art and design', the show offered a glimpse of the department's activities focusing on the achievements of women partnering with the department. The materials and textiles used for producing most of the garments have been developed and woven by Naga womenfolk at the department's Textile Resource Centre, Meriema. For the other garments, the department's in-house designers developed indigenous Naga tribal themed prints and motifs which were then printed on various materials using digital printing techno
