Dal lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in India. Crystal clear water, exotic landscape and serene surrounding represents the beautiful Dal lake of Jammu and Kashmir. At night its beauty is majestic and marvellous. There are beautiful long Shikaras that look majestic. Shikara is a local boat of srinagar. The lake has floating gardens in it which are known as Rad in local language.The beautifully decorated house boats, popularly known as the Shikaras take the tourists on a long trip on the enchanting Dal lake. These houseboats offer good scope of riding in the serene waters to all the tourists. The maximum depth of the lake is said to be 6 m.
