See the predominance of Maruti vans used as taxis in 1980's Thimphu. a few Maruti 800 cars can also be seen. Out seem to have gone the Datsuns, Toyota Corollas and other taxis of yore. Some old Toyota SUV's can still be seen on the roads, with a gloved traffic policeman who seems to be dancing and directing the traffic on Thimphu's roads.
