An Indian Giant Squirrel also called as the Malabar Giant Squirrel (Ratufa indica) feeds on the fruit of a tree in South India. The rodent is known for its huge size and mixture of colours on its coat. The rodent splays itself on the tree trunk and it looks like a colour palette, while also displaying the excellent grip it possesses. It is a tree-dwelling rodent and prefers branches with proper foliage. The Indian Giant Squirrel is also referred to as the rainbow rodent.
