On Jan 3 2019, Department of Rajasthan Tourism decided to go back to its campaign 'Padharo Mhare Des' replacing 'Jane Kya Dikh Jaye'-- launched by the previous BJP government. It is a song from a story called Maru and Dhola which is related to Rajput bravery, sacrifice and tradition. In this song, Maru is singing for Dhola which is a lover or you can say a wife is singing for her husband who is on the war far from the home. If we summarise this than Kesariya Balam means lover or husband. It is a very good example of Rajputana folk song. Rajasthan is a northern Indian state bordering Pakistan. Its palaces and forts are reminders of the many kingdoms that historically vied for the region.
