When Mr. A.K. Antony, Member of Parliament was sworn in as Canada's new Chief Minister this Wednesday the event marked the end of uncertainty caused by the resignation from the same post last week by Mr.Karuna Karan, the partners of the Congress-led-United Democratic Front ministry. The state has been demanding the ouster of the then Chief Minister Mr. Karuna Karan since late 1994. After resisting for a long time Mr. Karuna Karan eventually tendered his resignation and declared in New Delhi this Sunday that he would comply with all decisions of the party high command including the one about the next Chief Minister.
