Idols of gods i.e. Radha Krishna, Ladoo Gopal etc. are on display in local shop of Sonepur. Bangles of various colours and shades are also available for Indian women in the local shop stalled at Sonepur. Bangles hold a special place in jewellery items for Indian women. Out of all the jewellery pieces worn by women in India, bangles have a lot of ritualistic and traditional value in their lives. The annual Sonepur Fair in Bihar is a vibrant rural fair that combines spirituality with elephants, cattle and horses. It gets underway on the auspicious Hindu holy occasion of Kartik Purnima (usually in November), when pilgrims take an early morning bath in the river, and continues for a month.
