Tools in a garage in Gautam Nagar are cleaned and covered with a flower garland and marigold flowers before the start the puja. Sweets and incense sticks are lit around the tools before the puja. Owner of the garage then performs puja along with sweets as offering to Lord Vishwakarma. Vishwakarma Day is a day of celebration for Vishwakarma, a Hindu god of architecture, and was one of the fourteen precious things to be born out of the Samudra Manthan. He constructed the holy city of Dwarka where Krishna ruled, the Maya Sabha of the Pandavas, and ious weapons for the gods. He is also called the divine carpenter and is credited with Sthapatya Veda, the science of mechanics and architecture.
