Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated on September 17 in Assam, UP, Karnataka, Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Tripura. Vishwakarma Day is also celebrated a day after Diwali, along with Govardhan Puja. Here the celebrations take place a day after Diwali where after offering prayer to Lord Vishwakarma some people set up a street-side soup kitchen to offer to the masses as a thank you to Lord Vishwakarma. At this bhandara, the sweet shop prepared boiled rice with a tangy curry and mix vegetables broth.
