Bhunmnyu Cultural Troupe representing Phom Naga tribe singing a folk song which is a blessing song during Hornbill Festival at Kisama Heritage Village in Nagaland. Phom is one of the major tribes inhabiting Longleng district of Nagaland. With beating of log drums, Monyu is a new year festival with a difference. It provides an opportunity for the male members of a family to shower love on their married daughters and sisters by gifting the best rice beer and specially prepared food. amid the customary feasting and merry making, the festival is a time for the community to plan the general welfare and agricultural activities for the year ahead.
