Academic Chandra Muzaffar speaks on the incidents in Bali in 2001 and the factors leading yo to those events. He also says that the incident may be the outburst of the anger because of events happening to the Islam population and nations in other parts of the world. "But despite this anger that Muzaffar mentions, the reality is that militant views are held by only a tiny minority of Indonesia. More than 70 million of Indonesia's Muslims belongs to just tow Islamic Organisations, the Nahdlatul Ulama and the Muhammadiya which represent a tolerant and liberal Islam".
