A perfect place for shopping in Leh is the old Tibetan Refugee market on Leh road where you come across a wide range of varied products ranging from unpolished silver and turquoise jewellery to chunky shell bangles worn by Ladakhi women. Popular for their metalware, the market here sells sonorous bowls made of nine metals like cymbals, decorative brass and copper trumpets. you would see hand prayer, Om Mani Padme Hung, items of good in the canopy, Ladhiki jewelry, pendant made from gemstones, antique Ganesh status made out of metal, bronze and copper, Buddha Happiness, Antiques Tibetan colourful earrings and necklaces, vintage finger tribal ring, sterling silver from old elements from Himalayas region.
