Garo tribal women performing their traditional Wangala dance to the beats of drums during the Hornbill Festival 2013. Wangala (also known as Hundred Drums, Wanna, Wanna Rongchuwa) a harvest festival celebrated by the Garo tribe, who lives in Meghalaya, Assam in India and Greater Mymensingh in Bangladesh. They give thanks to the God and Goddess, called Misi Saljong, also known as Pattigipa Ra'rongipa (Sun-God), for blessing the people with a rich harvest. Nagaland, 'The Land of Festivals' and the warm naga people, lies in the North Eastern part of India. Historically, the Nagas are known as headhunters and have always been brave warriors. Sometimes Nagaland is also referred to as "The Switzerland of the East". The region is primarily hilly and has a pleasant climate all through the year. It
