This place is an ancient holy shrine situated on banks of river Ganges, near Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Shukrtaal and Shrimad Bhagavad are synonymous with each other. This was the place where Shrimad Bhagwad was first delivered by Rishi Shukdevji. This temple was built under the Vat tree (banyan tree) near it. Shukdev Ji used to narrate the Bhagwat story while sitting under this tree. This Vat tree (banyan tree) is still present here and it is surprising that this tree never falls in autumn. There is a Sanskrit college here. Students of this college do learn and recite the shlokas and mantras in this temple.
