This vibrant footage captures saffron-clad devotees marching from Haridwar to their hometowns, carrying the sacred Ganga jal collected from the holy waters of the River Ganga (Ganges, scientifically known as Ganga river system flowing through the Himalayan basin). The scene beautifully represents the spirit of the Kanwar Yatra, where thousands walk long distances as an act of devotion and gratitude. Along the route, we see a variety of kanwar setups—simple shoulder-held bamboo carriers, large decorative arrangements mounted on pickup trucks, and even beautifully crafted palanquins adorned with statues of gods and goddesses.
