This a shot of the Jadh Ganga and the bridge over it, on the road to Gangotri. The deodar forets on all sides dominate the valley sides, and steep rock faces ascend to the higher mountains beyond, at Lanka. One can drive from here towards Gangotri (right) or Nelang / Nelong (left), after crossing the Jadh Ganga, coming from the Harsil side. A construction truck heads to Gangotri across the Jadh Ganga. The river flows very far below, as one crosses it. This must be one of the highest and deepest river bridge crossings in the world!
