The 72nd Republic Day celebrations of the Indian Union on January 2021 in a grand manner although there was Chief Guest for the first time due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. This day is a show of India's military might, the cultural diversity in a series of parades, tableaux, dance troupes performing in front of dignitaries and the thousands of viewers of the lawns of Rajpath and on television nationally or internationally. Military formations from the different Indian forces, even the masked special ATS squad can be seen in the parade. The military parade also comprises the unique BSF Camel Contingent and the 61st Cavalry followed by the flypast of air combat contingents.
