A Red-billed Blue Magpie ravages Rhododendron flowers in spring season, for nectar and petals. With its neat white line on the nape, its long blue and white tail streaming feathers and its black and white/blue attire, this is a handsome bird that eats small rodents, mammals and insects as well as seeks our nectar on flowers and insects drawn to them. In a rather neat fashion, this Magpie sits and consumes nectar from our Rhododendron trees by the Motidhar stream-side at wildfilmsindia's Pari Tibba Estate in Mussoorie.
