Dr Bhupen Hazarika: I consider Assamese culture as having a distinct falvour of its own. For the last five years, we have been trying to raise the status of Shankradev's culture all over the world, as a complete matter of curriculum in Indian classes of music and dancing. It is very modern. Yet, it is very ancient. Shankar Dev has a socialist in him also. 50, 000 Assamese in Delhi. Good for constituency.
