These are the emerging decision makers which are steadily influencing family purchases at the Indian market place. A segment of the Indian middle class population which is rapidly becoming the target audience for both domestic and international companies the children of consumerism. None realised this more than the 40 companies from around the country which got together to seize the young consumer in the first-ever festival of the child which began on May 12 in Bangalore. The 17 day festival organised by the event marketing wing of the city based MAA advertising group was aimed as an interface for marketers to display their brands to this impressionable clientele and also identify new unique selling propositions that would have a bearing on their future brand choices.
