The corniced summits and summit ridges of Nanda Ghunti and Trishul, two of the peaks surrounding the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, as seen from the Roopkund trek route in early October, still seem to have deep snow pack, as they experience extreme snowfall due to the sanctuary effect of the Nanda Devi ring of peaks.
