The cane sugar syrup extracted from the raw sugar is filtered to a series of tanks and then transferred to heating pans. The syrup is heated using a traditional kind of heat source and made into a concentrate. The concentrated liquid is passed onto different levels of heating and the final concentrate is poured onto a concrete flat surface. The concentrate will be then made into smaller balls of jaggery or gur.
