Kurjey Tsechu festival is a one day event held in the front of Kurjey temple complex in Jakar at Bumthang. It is an important festival for the local people of Bumthang and for the rest of Bhutan as well. Many tourists and Bhutanese come here to witness the colourful festival to invoke blessings and watch the different masked dances. One can also enjoy this unique culture while also taking in the beauty of Bhutan's spiritual district. The Kingdom of Bhutan is a landlocked state in South Asia, located at the eastern end of the Himalayas and bordered to the south, east and west by the Republic of India and to the north by the People's Republic of China.
