A male peafowl (Pavo cristatus) roosts on the roof of a building. It flies from one spot to another. The peafowl is the National Bird of India. It is distributed in the grassland, open woodlands as well as urban and semi-urban areas. The male peafowl has a distinctive long 'train' or tail extended with colourful feathers.
