Festivals in north east India are most welcoming of Indian and foreign tourists, and are fast becoming the go-to destination for visitors from the region and around the world. We must encourage more tourism from around India to her north-eastern states, to bring in tourism money, encourage the establishment of home stays and local visitor infrastructure and create local jobs. This festival happens to occur in Assam as evidenced by the dance and attire of the men and women folk.
