The ruins of Revdanda Fort in Alibag / Alibaug, Maharashtra during the monsoon season looks nothing like the sunset pictures in the dry season. Located at the merging point of the Kundalika River and the Arabian Sea, this was once a strategic location for the Portuguese Colony along the Konkan Coast. What high quality iron - the cannons have not weathered or rusted in all these centuries, despite lying out in the Western Ghats' monsoon humidity over the years! Palm trees growing in competition with the other vegetation in the monsoon waving in the gust of wind. The complex on the the rocky beach is overgrown in vegetation and looks greener than ever.
