Sea food like Tiger prawns, small prawns, lobster, etc are on sale. The fish market is at the very end, along the row of the Chinese fishing nets. You can buy the freshly caught fish and then walk a short distance to find a restaurant which will cook it for you. The catch may feature sardine, mackerel, pomfret, mullet, seer fish, prawn and mussels, among other varieties. Fishermen also arrive in the morning, with their catch from the Arabian Sea. If you are in luck, they may bring lobster, crabs and tuna. So if you want fresh fish, this is where you have to be at around 8:00 AM. Fish are sold piece by piece to the customer who shouts out the best offer. If you have your eye on a particular fish, be alert and ready to make the best offer.
