People think they are helping the pigeons by feeding then, but in reality they are creating a nuisance and a health menace for humans. The rats, in turn, breed on the pigeon feed and extend their underground networks, preparing for the next plague... The underbelly of New Delhi city is infested with rats! A plague outbreak in the works, perhaps? A whole city of rats and vermin exist under the roads, inside the drains and along the nullahs, storm-water drainage systems and underground parking garages of the city...
