Monks are popular for performing cham Dance (Ritual Mask Dances) on a special occasion. This is a ritual dance done by the monks of Hemis Monastery in Ladhak offering prayer to god - It says - Gawa La Ye- referring to Happiness. It is a kind of Beodra dance done by the people in Bhutan. after the dance, the monks are removing her respected cap and goes in line leaving the stage.
