If you work for wildfilmsindia, this is the evening sunset you would experience from our Jabbarkhet estate, visiting which is a rite of passage for all recruits at Wilderness Films India. The sun sets over the plains of north India, reflecting light back through the clouds and moreso the heat haze and smog of the plains, and the smoke rising from a tens of millions of village chulhas which are also lit at this time of evening. While the explanation may be more prosaic, the experience of the sun setting and letting off an after-life of orange, pink, blue and magenta likens it more along the lines of the Northern lights, even as some erroneously point out that it is only visible from Landour and Switzerland.
