Families of Gray Langurs (Semnopithecus) perch on the tops of the ruins at Hampi. It looks like they have made the centuries-old ruins their residence. These langurs do not seem to be perturbed by the human presence in their homes. The Hampi Ruins are a vast stretch of monuments and structures which was the capital of the Vijayanagara Kingdom in the Deccan Plateau. The site boasts of centuries-old ruins and remains of temples and inscriptions.
