This archival footage captures an Afghan commander speaking about the complex political and security challenges facing Afghanistan after the fall of the Taliban regime. He explains that although the Taliban were militarily defeated, the underlying problem was far from over. According to him, the issue extended beyond Afghanistan’s tribal regions and was also linked to ideological influence and support networks believed to be operating from Pakistan.
