Stone, rock and sand mining along the Siang river, in order to collect materials for road construction in Arunachal Pradesh, India, using Kobelco machinery. Sand mining is banned in most parts of India, but here the materials must be mined locally for the environmental cost of carriage from a faraway location would be greater. Cranes and bull dozers clear the way for a road to be construction along the Yinking-Tuting axis along the Siang or Brahmaputra river.
