Trucks stand by to load junk and transport to other sites. Men pile up huge sheets of metal procured from the ships as cranes are on a stand by. Men load scrape metal and other parts from the ship on to the truck. Men working on dismantling the inside of a ship that looks like a dilapidated multi story house from far. It's just another day at the wrecking yard in Alang. Alang is a census town in Bhavnagar district in the Indian state of Gujarat. In the past three decades, its beaches have become a major worldwide centre for ship breaking.
