Great White Pelicans are mainly winter visitors to the northern Indian Subcontinent. They usually breed in Gujarat. They may be found singly, in small flocks or in huge concentrations on larger lakes and lagoons. They usually feed by scooping fishes in their pouches, before swallowing the food.
