Sidi Goma tribal dance performers perform at Surajkund fair with peacock feathers, painted faces, they enacted the various bird. Sidi Goma performs in a group of twelve, four lead musicians drummers and singers and eight dancers. The programme presents an overview of Sidi ritual performance, from the traditional muezzin call to prayer to a staged ritual performance. Sidi Goma is a group of African Indian Sidis from the Bharuch district of Gujarat. This tribal Sufi community of East African origin came to India eight centuries ago, and preserved and carried on the tradition of Sidi music and dance adapted from African rituals (which includes a dance known as goma).
