Welcome to Chennai. Formerly known as Madras, this city is the capital of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu and it is among the most visited Indian cities by foreign tourists. Chennai is located on the Coromandel Coast off the Bay of Bengal and it is considered to be one of the biggest cultural, economic and educational centres in South India.
