Statues of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Queen Victoria in Bangalore. Queen of Great Britain and Ireland. The statue stands imperiously in front of Cubbon Park. George Frederick Ernest Albert, Prince of Wales & Duke of Cornwall & York unveiled this statue on the 5th February 1906. Bangalore has numerous statues honouring those who had contributed in some measure to the development of the city or the nation. These statues grace the parks, public squares and circles. Bangalore has been impartial in honouring history. It has immortalized in stone and marble, personalities ranging from Statesmen, Politicians, Poets, Philosophers, Architects, Dewans, Kings, Queens and also the lesser known like the humble gardener in Bangalore Palace standing by the Palace Gates.
