The Supreme Court of Nepal is the highest court in Nepal. It has ultimate appellate jurisdiction over all Appellate and District court. The court consists of fourteen Justices and one Chief Justice. The Supreme Court was formed on 2013 BS(1956 AD). The first Chief Justice of Nepal is Hari Prasad Pradhan. The present Chief Justice of Nepal is Hon. Ram Kumar Prasad Sah, who succeeded Hon. Damodar Prasad Sharma. The Registrar is authorized to be worked as an administrative in charge of the Supreme Court. He/She is supposed to be worked according to general guidance of the Chief Justice of Nepal. All the administrative staff use the power delegated by the Registrar.
