Kamal Hassan says "We finished the filming of Mumbai Express in 50 days, i.e., 10 hours a day. I wrote the film and Pushpak we all use to work as a team. So we were very comfortable as a team. The film is the priority, not personal egos. The picture will tell you about the characters and the storyline. Working with Manisha is like family getting together, everyone was comfortable as there was no pussyfooting. With her it is an easy relationship, she would tell if she is not comfortable and explaining the scene is comparatively easier with Manisha."
